The new novel is coming along nicely. I hope to have it published sometime next month. That would be August 2020. I just finished designing the book cover. I chose a previous painting of mine due to the main character in my story having a significant interaction with a raven. As these highly intelligent birds are known for possessing mystical attributes in many Native American cultures, I thought it would be appropriate as a raven guides the quiet man to a power that will forever change his life… and potentially the world.
First of all, let me borrow a line from the Grateful Dead...what a long strange trip its been.
I grew up in Appalachia, not far from Wheeling, West Virginia. I decided at seventeen that working in the coal mines was not for me and soon found myself standing at an on-ramp with my thumb out. It was the Sixties and adventure beckoned.
I'm a self taught artist, primarily focusing on the natural world. I enjoy painting the flora and fauna of this beautiful planet. I currently live in Arizona, and most of my recent works reflect the inhabitants of the Sonoran desert.

Hey Pops congratulations on your books! I know that you are an amazing artist, but I never knew you wrote books…I can only imagine how great your books are, since your artwork is sooooo FANTASTIC!! I am guilty of never checking/using instagram. Mostly because of not having the knowledge to use the APP😂 So I took a look at mostly everything you’ve posted and I’m very VERY impressed with all your work!!!!❤ Are any of your works for sale? I’d like to buy a painting or drawing of some sort. I’d also like to buy your books. Anyway, I hope you are doing well and from what I can tell, you are loving life. I will never forget all the good times growing up with you and Sasha at the horse stable. What a WONDERFUL time I had having you as my second dad. Those were the best years of our lives….

Yes, I too, will never forget those days at the stables and being a part of your life. They were indeed wonderful days of innocence that I still cherish and think of often. I can hardly believe I will be seventy this year. Where did the time go?
